Little League Board Elections – How It Works
Our Little League Board Elections are designed to be fair, transparent, and inclusive. Annually, regular membership (parents, guardian, coaches, volunteers, ect) of each Little League is required to elect a Board of Directors. Following the election, the Board of Directors will meet and elect its officers from within the membership of the board. Below is an overview of how the election process works:
1. Nominations
Nominations are opened until May 20th. Anyone in good standing with the league may nominate themselves or another eligible individual. All nominees must agree to serve if elected.
2. Candidate Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must meet league which include being a current volunteer, parent/guardian of a registered player, or otherwise actively involved in the league. Specific requirements may vary by position.
3. Candidate Announcement
Once nominations close, on May 20th a list of eligible candidates will be shared with the league community. Candidates may also provide a short statement introducing themselves and explaining their interest in serving.
4. Voting
Voting will take place during Closeing Ceremonies. Eligible voters (registered families and/or approved league members) will cast their vote electronically.
5. Vote Counting
All votes are collected and counted in a secure and confidential manner. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected.
6. Results Announcement
Election results will be announced shortly after voting concludes. Newly elected board members will be contacted directly and introduced to the community.
7. Term of Service
Board members serve for a one year term and are expected to attend meetings and actively support league operations.
We encourage all members of our Little League community to participate—whether by nominating, running, or voting. Your involvement helps ensure a strong and successful league for all players!
